Building & teaching

our on the ground projects

Our project work sees our volunteers travel to Haiti multiple times per year to carry out relief works on the ground.

Working specifically with the child-care system, we build, repair and restore damaged and inadequate facilities – ensuring safety and sanitation as well as delivering valuable skills-training to local Haitian team members.

Our works are varied but have construction at their core. We have rebuilt entire shower blocks to allow children the simple dignity of a warm shower. We have laid pathways so that staff didn’t have to carry disabled children across ground their wheelchairs couldn’t manage.

We look to travel up three times a year, each trip with a specific list of groundworks to complete. The work is hard, the heat sometimes unbearable but the sense of satisfaction is truly priceless.

You can find more information on our planned and previous works in both the Latest News and Gallery sections of the site.
